Background

RNV is a leading public transportation company in the Rhine-Neckar Metropolitan Region, employing over 3,000 people.

As part of its growth strategy, RNV aims to attract top talent in the industry and streamline its hiring process.

To achieve this goal, RNV wants to create a job offer listing and email notification system that allows visitors to stay up-to-date with new job openings.

Objectives

As the lead designer on this project, my objectives were:

  • To create a responsive website with a clear and intuitive user interface that lists all job openings in specific sectors.
  • To design an email notification system that allows visitors to sign up for email alerts whenever new job offers become available in specific sectors.
  • To develop a visual identity and brand guidelines that align with RNV’s existing branding.
  • To design and implement a seamless user experience that simplifies the job application process and encourages more qualified candidates to apply.

Tasks

To achieve these objectives, I organized the project into several tasks:

  • Conducted user research to understand the needs and pain points of job seekers in the transportation industry.
  • Collaborated with the development team to create wireframes and prototypes that demonstrate the website’s functionality and user flow.
  • Designed the visual identity and brand guidelines that reflect RNV’s existing branding and values.
  • Designed the website’s user interface, including layout, typography, color scheme, and iconography.
  • Developed the email notification system’s design and functionality, including email templates and messaging.
  • Conducted usability testing and made design iterations based on user feedback.
  • Collaborated with the development team to ensure the design was implemented accurately and effectively.

Results

The job offer listing and email notification system designed by me provided several benefits to RNV, such as:

  • Increased visibility among potential candidates and better brand recognition.
  • Improved candidate experience and a simplified hiring process.
  • Increased number of job applications and improved quality of applicants.
  • Better management of talent pipelines and reduced time-to-hire.
  • More effective use of resources and cost savings in recruitment.

A few months later, the statistics shows pretty nice usage numbers. 👍
